1 1/2 cups sifted all purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
2 cups fresh blueberries
Topping:
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. butter
- Sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar into a medium bowl.
- Cut in the 1/2 cup of butter to size of peas
- Break egg in measuring cup and beat. Add enough milk to make 3/4 cup of liquid
- Add to dry ingredients and stir until blended
- Turn blueberries into batter
- Turn batter into a 8x8 greased baking dish
Topping
- Combine all ingredients except butter.
- Mix
- Cut butter into dry ingredients
- Work mixture with hands until crumbly
- Sprinkle over cake batter
Bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes.
